Huawei launches Android 2.3, 1GHz processor powered ‘Vision’

Huawei just announced a new Android smartphone ‘Vision’ in Beijing. This awesome looking phone might not have dual core power, but it does have decent internals, and we are expecting an affordable pricing. Powered by Qualcomm’s 1 GHz processor, it comes with Android 2.3, 5MP camera, and 512MB RAM. Huawei Vision will be available in selected markets from September.

Beijing, 3 August 2011: Huawei, a leading telecom solutions provider, today launched Huawei Vision, Huawei’s stylish new smartphone with a 3D user interface and carousel animation display. Huawei Vision runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS and is supported by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8255-1 GHz processor. With its sleek design and powerful functionality, Huawei Vision is the perfect combination of technology and style.

Huawei Vision has an aluminum alloy uni-body in rose gold, silver or charcoal, and a curve touch design. Vision measures only 9.9mm at its thinnest point and at around 121g, weighs less than abottle of perfume or aftershave. It supports 720P video recording and features a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash. Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini launching together with Xperia Mini Pro in India



So, it's not just Mini Pro, which will land in India –we will also see Xperia Mini launching next week and if we believe SE India site – it might have already started reaching stores.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini comes with pretty decent set of specs; it features 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3 inch display, 5MP camera and Android 2.3.
While the pricing of the smartphone is unclear right now; considering that Mini Pro is selling for INR 15K, Mini might be sold somewhere around INR 14K – More on which should become clear next week.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro up for pre-order, launching next week in India

Waiting for little Androids from Sony Ericsson, then you are in luck. It seems Sony Ericsson is going to launch at least one of them – Xperia Mini Pro in India next week.
Pro is now available for pre-order at Flipkart for INR 15,099, not bad for a phone that comes with 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon under the hood.  Other features of the phone include Android 2.3, 5MP camera, front facing camera, 3 inch Reality display with Bravia Engine and 512 MB RAM.
Sony Experia Mini Pro is listed for an estimated release next week.

5 Upcoming LG Android Smartphones Leaked

According to the reports by Pocketnow, LG has planned some serious Android action in this half of the year, and it will not be limited to recently announced LG Optimus Pro and Net. According to a big leak coming from PocketNow, LG is expected to launch six new Android Phones in the 2nd half of this year.
These smartphones include Prada K2, Univa, Victor, E2 and LG K. These are expected to be code names; while some of these can become actual names.
  • LG Prada K2: Dual core Processors, 4.3 inch NOVA display, 8.8mm thickness, 8MP primary camera, 1.3 MP front camera, Android 2.3 and HSPA+ connectivity.


  • LG Univa: 800 MHz processor, 3.5 inch display, 5MP camera and 11.9 mm thickness along with Android 2.3.


  • LG Victor: 1GHz processor, 3.8 inch OLED display, 5MP camera, VGA front cam, and Android 2.3


  • LG E2: QVGA display, Android 2.3, 3MP camera and 600Mhz processor


  • LG K: 720p HD display, 4.5 inch display, other specs not known [No Image Available]

Browse the web on any T.V with the new launched Vodafone Webbox

Vodafone has officially launched Webbox in India. Webbox is a QWERTY device, which brings Internet connectivity to your normal television using RCA cables.
Telecom operator is now selling in select cities of Haryana telecom circle, which include Ambala, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra and Sonipat. Vodafone Webbox has been priced at INR 5,799, which also gets you a 2GB SD card and 12 GB data usage valid for a period of 6 months.
Webbox is Android 2.1 powered, so you get a slew of applications and games, though it does not come with Android market support.
It will soon be rolled out to other parts of India, including the launch of 24 month contract plan to give you Webbox free of cost.
