It hasn’t been even 24 hours since the displeasing statement from HTC UK Facebook page that stated that Android 2.3 will not be coming to original HTC Desire. But, it seems the user uproar was too much for HTC, so this Taiwanese manufacturer has backtracked from its earlier statement and said that it will indeed update Desire to Gingerbread.

Company however did not give any time-frame but at least they will update the smartphone.
