Raspberry Pi: A PC that fits on a USB stick

If Android phones can power apps like these, you can be assured that a 700MHz ARM11 CPU can boot Ubuntu. David Braben, a British computer programmer has developed a £15 computer that's literally the size of a USB stick. One end plugs to a TV/Monitor/Touchscreen via an HDMI/Composite socket, on the other end, a keyboard plugs to the USB port.

The specs for the Raspberry Pi computer are pretty decent, with support for OpenGL ES 2.0, 1080p output support, and an SD/MMC/SDIO memory card slot for storage. This low cost PC could find applications in the field of education, and is being developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, a UK registered charity.
